With Christmas around the corner and Steelhead fishing in full swing (no pun intended....well, maybe a little) the steep price tag on a good spey rod can be off set by the Ross CLA series reels. At $265.00 USD I bought one to balance out a 9/10 15 ft cortland and for the price it cant be beat! I purchased the CLA-6 and I couldn't be happier. Well maybe if Santa brought me this:
But patience is a virtue, or so I am told. Bob Clouser and Lefty Kreh of Temple Fork Outfitters brought this on the market. The designers were Northwest Spey casters Mike Kinney and Bob Meiser. How can you go wrong with that. Check out Mike Kinney on Facebook, he takes amazing wilderness photos.
